Bell Helicopter Receives 100 Bell 407GXPs Orders
Bell Helicopter Receives 100 Bell 407GXPs Orders. Bell Helicopter has secured a firm order from China's Shaanxi helicopter for 100 407GXPs, converting a tentative agreement signed in 2016.Light-twin deliveries will begin this year, says Bell, who joins the M250-powered Rolls-Royce at its facility in Mirabel, Canada.
Support, training and delivery infrastructure will gradually be built in the country, says Shaanxi.
The agreement is the latest in a series of large sales to China by Western helicopter manufacturers as growing open air space fuels interest in helicopter operations.
Airbus helicopters and Leonardo's helicopters have secured large orders in the country, with the former at the end of May breaking ground in a new Chinese production facility for the light-twin H135 on the back of an initial cast of 100 units.
