Singapore Airlines A350-900 In Flight Entertainment System in Economy Class

Singapore Airlines has introduced a mobile application that gives customers more control over their inflight entertainment (IFE) experience - even before boarding the plane. The companion app, which was developed for Singapore Airlines by MTT conjunction with Panasonic Avionics, allows customers to see the video IFE and audio content will be available on your flight, create shortlists favorites, and control the IFE tilt backup system - all using their personal electronic devices.

The application is now available on iOS and Android tablets, with availability in iOS and Android mobile phones expected in Q2 2016. To use the application, customers can install the application on your device SingaporeAir tablet before departure of the aircraft. Current features companion application will be available initially in the new fleet of Airbus A350-900 airline with plans to gradually deploy the Boeing 777-300ER and other aircraft in the future. "With the proliferation of personal mobile devices and the arrival of our new fleet of Airbus A350, this latest innovation will help improve inflight entertainment experience for our customers," said Singapore Airlines Senior Vice President of Products and Services, Mr Tan Pee Teck. "It provides more information and greater control both on land and in flight, and are excited to be the first airline in the world to offer an application for our customers."

Singapore Airlines KrisWorld IFE system offers up to 295 movies, more than 470 television shows and over 450 albums on CD every month.
